Events - Cassowary Coast

A range of special  events are held annually across the region.

In Innisfail the Feast of the Senses, celebrating local foods and other products, is held in March and the Innisfail Harvest Festival or Innisfail Karnivale is held in October.

On the first Sunday in May, Silkwood hosts the Feast of the Three Saints, a spectacular religious festival together with entertainment, fireworks and lots of Italian food.

Tully celebrates being one of the wettest places in Australia with its Golden Gumboot Festival in May, including the Gumboot Games.

A newly created event is the Mission Beach Film Festival held in September in the seaside centre.

Regular markets are held in various centres and are well patronised by residents and visitors alike.
